Financial Assistance

On a weekly basis, Shared Blessings reviews applications for financial assistance regarding utility bills, transportation and other essential needs.

Applications are reviewed carefully, and decisions are made based upon factors such as vulnerability, feasibility and honesty.

Clothing Store

Our clothing store is open 4 days a week (Mondays through Thursdays 9-1). We ask for a $2 donation per person and you can shop once a month.

Shoppers receive up to 4 outfits, 2 pairs of shoes and other misc. items. Approximately 650 shoppers come through monthly

Beds 4 Kids

Many children in the area find themselves sleeping on the floor, a couch, or having to sleep with multiple siblings. Inadequate sleeping arrangements affect their ability to do well in school, among other things.

Shared Blessings works with school counselors and teachers to identify these students. Through the generosity of its donors, Shared Blessings then purchases a new bed frame, mattress and box spring, pillow and bedding. If you know of a child sleeping on the floor, please contact us.

Nutrition Club

The Nutrition Club is a cooperative effort by area schools, local churches, businesses, civic clubs, individuals and the ministry of Shared Blessings to end weekend hunger in the lives of children.

Blue Door Flea Market

Blue Door Flea Market is open Thursdays from 9AM to 1PM at the back of the Shared Blessings building.

The Blue Door Flea Market is a great way to find great deals on everything from toys, antiques, games, electronics, and more. Proceeds from our Flea Market support our Food Pantry & Nutrition Club. Come shop for a great cause! We appreciate the donation of items that can be used in the Blue Door Flea Market. Simply drop items off at our dock. Thank you!

Student Needs

Shared Blessings partners with educators across the area to meet the needs of students who are struggling. Many students find themselves facing struggles and hardships that come with poverty. Physical needs become a hindrance to their educational needs. Through our partnerships with schools, Shared Blessings is notified of individual needs.

If you know of a child in need, please contact us.

Food For Families

Every month, Shared Blessings provides boxes of food to approximately 300 families serving nearly 1000 people. Participants can receive food once per month.

Food boxes come from many sources including food drives, food bank, Walmart, etc. We take donations of food from the general public.

Essential Transportation Assistance

ETA is designed to help some of our most vulnerable in the community with essential transportation assistance. A group of seniors and those disabled are provided with transportation vouchers each month to help them be more mobile and independent.

Referrals are welcome. Please contact us.
