Student Needs
Shared Blessings knows that education is a critical part of breaking the cycle of generational poverty. That is why we collaborate closely with school counselors to identify and secure the necessary supplies and hygiene products to ensure every child has what they need to succeed. In addition to addressing these needs, we go above and beyond to support students in meeting unique requirements, such as providing prom dresses, shoes, extracurricular clothing, and other essential materials.
Beyond Physical Needs
Along with meeting physical needs, we work on the development of students as well through Buffalo Ridge Academy and our internship program. We teach students life skills and help them to see a different path forward for their lives and becoming productive members of our community.
From Executive Director, Joey Clark
Changing the trajectory of the lives of kids is a core value at Shared Blessings. To do this takes our entire community. It takes an army of people to pack and deliver Nutrition Club, to run Buffalo Ridge Academy and pull off our Back-to-School Bash. We could not do it without you. Our biggest expense and our largest use of manpower goes towards these programs. The reason we commit so much of our resources to children is because of the impact it can have. The earlier you are able to intervene in the life of a child, the more impact you can have. When we meet their physical needs of food, clothing and shelter, they are more likely to be successful in school, which is a huge factor in overcoming generational poverty. When we are able to get them into programs like Buffalo Ridge Academy, they will learn valuable skills and meet positive role models that will show them a different path for their lives and open up possibilities they never dreamed of. It takes church groups, businesses, and individuals to make our Student Needs Program happen. Please consider giving and volunteering to help us continue to change the lives of students in our community. It is an investment that pays generational dividends.
Thank you.
